Many thanks to the officers & committee for inviting me to judge this lovely breed. Congratulations to all involved at this new show ground. A well organised and well run show. What a shame it was to be East of Englands last one. I would also thank my hard working steward, and my very sporting exhibitors for bringing their dogs for me to judge.
There were no light eyes or bad mouths & coats were correct. I would like more muscle tone on some of the hounds. The movement coming and going was not so good in some hounds, but the profile movement on most of the hounds was as expected. Easy, active true..

1st. Peaches Quantastico Guiseppe To Kilbourne Balanced overall for a young dog. Good outline and construction. Lovely dark eye, small ears & correct coat. Good length of neck leading to well laid shoulder. Straight in front & strong in loin. Great width behind. Covered the ground well with a long free striding movement. Happy to award him RDCC. Well handled & presented.

1st Barrets Stranwith Jago Stood alone. Handsome young male. Has darkest of eyes with a kind expression. Shapely, not tall. Would like more substance. Has a good front. Neat feet, good depth of chest. Not cooperating with his handler & was unsettled on the move. Needs more confidence in the ring.
Post Graduate Dog 2
1st Allday & Fosters Kilbourne Laurie McLeod At Lorah Masculine dog of good size & bone. Good overall shape. Stands over a lot of ground. Correct head & feet. Has length of neck, & depth of chest. Needs to steady on the move. Slightly close behind going away. Will need time to mature.
2nd Taylor’s Stableview Willow Nice head & expression. Neat ears & dark eyes. Correct harsh coat. Great depth of chest. Short coupled. Lacking in hind movement today & was unsteady on the move.
Limit Dog 4 (1a)
1st Stuart & Holts Ollandsheart Oberon Mature dog, very masculine in outlook. Has a lovely head & expression. Good bone & substance. Lovely depth of chest. Has straight pasterns, but a bit short in upper arm. Has good 2nd thigh. Moved straight coming & going.
2nd Wilce-Quinton & Quinton Kirjojax Harris Shapley dog of good proportions. Good head, dark eye & soft expression. Powerful neck. Good front assembly, ample depth of brisket. Good fall away. Well muscled hind quarters. Moved out soundly.
3rd Shannon’s Packway Downlander At Erewhon.

1st Taylor’s CH. Ormanstar Dark Shadow Powerful mature male with a masculine head. Has the bone & substance but is in proportion, he is well balanced. Good lay of shoulder & return of upper arm, great depth to chest & spring of rib. Has good width to 2nd thigh. Well muscled. Moved out with vigour & drive today to gain him the DCC & BOB. Well handled & presented.

1st Peaches Kilbourne Devon, Beautiful puppy. Well developed for age just short of a year. Softest expression with the darkest of eyes. Lovely neck going onto a well laid shoulder. Good for bone & well angulated, very balanced on the move. Well presented. Lovely to see she went onto gain G4 in the puppy hound group. Congratulations.
2nd Girling’s Chuilinn Flare Taller puppy than one, aged one month younger. Feminine head, set onto good length of neck. Well angulated fore & rear. Great length from hip to hock. Needs more training to co-operate with her handler. But enjoyed herself. Long easy stride in places.

1st Kilgar’s Claonaiglen Tilt Maelstrom well constructed workman like bitch. Good front & angulated hind quarters. Well sprung rib cage, great length from hip to hock. Good tuck up & fall away. Moved around the ring with drive.
2nd Barret’s Stranwith Ismene pretty bitch with dark eyes giving a pleasing expression. Shapely outline. Needs to settle on the move. Would benefit with more confidence in the ring.

1st Spring-Arnold’s Hyndsight Only In My Dreams Stood alone, Feminine head with typical expression. Dark eyes & neat small ears. Has adequate bone. Good neck and good spring of rib. Good front & nice width to hindquarters. Well balanced on the move.
Limit Bitch 4
Quality class of bitches.
1st Helps Beardswood Verbena well made bitch with curves in the right places. Feminine head with that soft far away look. Excellent neck & well laid shoulders. Correct depth of chest & length of rib cage. Good proportions back & front. Well muscled. Lovely & balanced, excellent profile movement which gave her the class & BCC. Just beaten to BOB today.
2nd Constantine’s Kwaricott Kaleginy Bettinsoli Mature strong bitch. Has a great length of neck, set onto a good shoulder placement. Deep chest & strong in loin. Good width to hindquarters. Covered the ground on movement.
3rd Wilde-Quinton & Quinton Kirjojax Pancho.

Another quality class of bitches.
1st Kilgar’s CH. Claonaiglen Strontian Maelstrom Pleasing bitch of good proportions. Feminine head & expression. Long neck with good front. Ample depth of brisket & spring of rib. Muscular hindquarters. Held her top line on the move. RBCC.
2nd Baileys CH. Greyflax Tallulah Lilac. Lovely balanced bitch of quality. Typical head & good length of neck. Would like a bit more width in front. Has correct angulation. Moved out well but beaten on the day by 1st place.
3rd Constantine’s Serenade At Kaleginy.

Baileys CH. Greyflax Lady Sings The Blu’s beautiful girl at 7.5 years. Classic outline. Feminine head & expression, with good reach of neck. Curves in the right places. Good shoulder placement. Deepest of chests. Moved around the ring with a free flowing stride. BV.
