A pleasing entry with some quality dogs and bitches. Presentation was very good and I thank the exhibitors for this. Coupled with the good weather with excellent organisation and hospitality, it made for an enjoyable day's judging at this lovely venue.
PD. (2). 1. Edwards’, Brackenland Ran. Pleasing head, good ear set. Adequate depth in chest. Well proportioned overall satisfactory width of rear quarters. Retained outline on the move. Moving soundly with plenty of stride. 2. Grimshaw's’, Jamalison Sonata. Larger of the two dogs. Strong front and rear quarters. Pleasing head and expression with good length of neck. Needs to settle when moving. Overall movement was satisfactory.
JD. (3). 1. Taylor’s. Lyart Yes Minister. Shapely young dog. Nice overall proportions giving a pleasing outline. Good head and expression. Well laid shoulders. Tight feet and correct pasterns. Ample depth of chest. Moved well with good rear drive. 2. Gow's, Laird of Lisnabanree at Anmialchu. Well built dog. Plenty of depth. Good forechest. Strong rear quarters. A little nervous on the day affecting his overall movement.
PGD. (9). 1. Peach’s, Greyflax the Mighty Quinn to Kilbourne. For me a close decision in this class. Clean outline on this dog, good length of neck. Satisfactory shoulder, ample length of lion. Plenty of rear angulation without being over exaggerated. Moved well with good drive from the rear quarters. 2. Cannon and Wickstead's, Kilbourne Osborne. Lovely head and expression with correct strong front. Well boned. Powerful neck. Good depth of chest. Correct topline. Moved soundly. 3. Morton’s, Rosslyn Lebrel.
LD. (5). 1. Rhodes’s, Gentom Neo. Compact powerful dog in all aspects well muscled with strength in front and rear quarters, coupled with well proportioned depth and a correct topline and fall away. Gave a pleasing outline. Moved with reach and drive, well handled. 2. Wiggan's, Killoeter Grilse. Pleasing head, correct ear set. Ample depth of chest. Strong rear quarters. Moved well in profile with plenty of rear drive. 3. Pink’s, Greyhawks Romanie Rom.
OD. (4). 1. Finnett and Harrington’s, Ch. Hyndsight Wind of Change. Powerfully built dog with correct length of coat. Good bite. Well arched neck leading to correct lay of shoulder and great depth of chest. Strong quarters of ample width giving overall proportions pleasing to the eye. Strength without coarseness. Moved soundly in all aspects true coming and going. Difficult to fault. CC. 2. Peach’s, Kilbourne Macleod. Nice head and expression with correct ear set. Good length of neck and front shoulder angulation. Ample depth and length of loin. Good topline, well proportioned giving a pleasing outline. Moved well with plenty of drive from the rear. RCC. 3 Meer's, Kilbourne Comanche at Lordswell.
PB. (7). 1. Grimshaw’s, Jamalison Melody. Elegant puppy bitch. Super length of neck. Feminine head carried proudly. The overall shape was well proportioned and pleasing to the eye. Ample length with good topline and bend of rear stifle. Correct tail carriage. Movement was sound with long front and strong rear drive. BP. 2. Rhodes’, Kilbourne Charity of Gentom. Another quality puppy with good head type and expression. Good length on neck. Well laid shoulders and ample depth of chest. Powerful rear quarters. Moved well in profile but made life difficult for her handler. 3. Cunningham's, Dorrator Arddun at Aonachdubh.
JB. (8). 1. Bailey’s, Greyflax Milly Molly Mandy. Feminine young bitch. Correct shape to head and jaw. Sound bite. Good length of neck and well laid shoulders. Nice topline, rear fall away and bend of stifle. Movement sound and flowing. 2. Finnett and Heathcote's, Hyndsight A Box of Dreams. Different type to winner. Powerfully built. Strength in head and jaw without coarseness. Good front and shoulder. Ample depth of chest and strong rear quarters. Moved with reach and drive. 3. Taylor’s, Lyart Yea Verily.
PGB. (11). 1. Wilson’s, Killoeter Leyla. Super quality youngster who won this class on her presence. Lovely head and strong jaw. Great depth of chest. Correct front and shoulders. Plenty of rear bend of stifle. Well let down hocks. Nice topline and fall away produced a pleasing picture standing. She did not disappoint on the move with ample front reach and powerful drive, a real contender. 2. Peach’s, Kilbourne Oh Suzannah. Nicely shaped head, correct bite. Ample length of neck, correct lay of shoulders with adequate depth of chest. Satisfactory width in rear quarters and good bend of stifle. Gave a pleasing outline. Moved soundly. 3. Traynor's, Canishurn Zena.
LB. (7). 1. Bailey’s, Greyflax a Kind of Magic JW. Another quality young bitch. Superbly presented. Lovely head, nice furnishings carried proudly. Good front and depth of chest. Correct topline and ample length of loin. Super rear angulation and well let down hocks. No over exaggeration. Very sound movement flowed with reach and drive, superbly handled. Res CC. 2. Grimshaw's, Greyflax Mystic to Jamalison. Well proportioned bitch. Strength in jaw. Pleasing head and expression, not coarse. Ample depth of chest. Overall a nice outline. Moved well in profile with drive from the rear. 3. Cartmel Riding the Wind with Cusidh.
OB. (2). 1. Finnett's and Heathcote's, Ch. Hyndsight Heaven Can Wait. Super bitch, correct length of coat. Strength in head and jaw, again without coarseness. Powerful neck under the mane, showed no throatiness. Good lay of shoulder. Ample forechest. Great depth. Ample length of loin. Good width in rear quarters with proportional bend of stifle. Moved truly with drive and reach. CC and BOB. 2. Bailey’s, Greyflax Waterloo Sunset. Lovely overall proportions. Superbly furnished head. Good front and shoulders. Nice topline. Plenty of bend of stifle with well let down hocks, width and strength in rear quarters. Elegant with reach and drive. Moved soundly.
