Scottish Breeds 2006 Critique

I would like to thank the exhibitors for such a nice quality entry and the sporting way they accepted my decisions. I thought there was quality throughout the entry but I would like to draw attention to some young stock that were showing a nervous attitude to being handled and in a few cases having "hyper" temperament. The Standard is very clear "Gentle and friendly, docile and good-tempered, never suspicious, aggressive or nervous" I feel this is so important that warning is given to Judges and Breeders to consider this point carefully. I have been following this beautiful breed for over 50 years and have always loved their gentle and calm out-look.
