I was very impressed by the size of the our ring, it couldn’t have been better even if it was outside for showing off the lovely movement of the breed.
PD (5,2). 1 Readwald Flint, Lowe. Nice head with a dark eye, long reachy neck, deep brisket, very promising youngster, the handler needs to practice with the youngster to give the best possible scenario, moved best in this class. 2 Claonaiglen Bruar, Johnson. Larger hound going through a gangly stage and therefore not so coordinated as winner, good overall conformation with a pleasing head didn’t have the movement of winner. 3 Wickwar Whistlejacket, Gumbrill.
JD (6,2). 1 Glewlwyd Dionysus, Hodgkinson definitely the best mover of the class, he was very true coming and going as well as having a good driving action. Nice overall shape, correct size good flat bone, deep chest, muscular hindquarters. 2 Canerikie Crocodile Cooler, Hall, nice size houndy head and expression with darkest of eyes, correct droopy topline well angulated stifles moved well. 3 Anmialchu Beinn A'Chonzie At Hairymon, Forrester.
PGD (9,1). 1 Stainlonan Rikki Of Regalflight, Coull. Largish dog but so well balanced, he presented a finished picture, good head long neck well laid shoulder, deep chest, well bent stifle good muscle tone, excellent movement. 2 Wild West Von Der Oelmuhle, Peach, better size than winner, and also very promising, very dark eye, long reachy neck good shoulder placement, excellent topline, long striding movement, pushed very hard for 1st place 3 Parsons and McKinnon’s Claonaiglen Orchy.
LD (8) 1 Wiggan’s Killoeter Grilse. Very close between 1st and 2nd, very elegant yet with good flat bone and substance, lovely head with aquiline muzzle, deep brisket correct topline nicely bent stifles moved with good drive 2 Spencer’s Gentom Orlando of Talgavar. Pressed winner very hard, although different in type, deep brisket, long neck well laid shoulder, good topline, very true movement would prefer a slightly darker eye 3 Traynor Kenmilltri Jock.
OD (7,2) 1 Gomm’s Ch Terichline Xplorer. Typifies the breed for me, lovely overall conformation combined with a very true movement coming and going. Deep chest, very good shoulder placement, nice arch over the loin, broad hindquarters with great muscle tone, his movement was a joy to see, CC. 2 Finnett and Harrington’s Ch Hyndsight Wind of Change. Another quality hound very elegant yet with good bone and power., nice head and good body, didn’t move as well as winner. RCC 3 Francis and Blatchford’s Wickwar Worcester of Peopleton.
PB (11,3). 1 Greyflax Milly Molly Mandy, Bailey, what a lovely & promising puppy, gorgeous head darkest of eyes, very mature for age, reachy neck leading into a well angulated shoulder, correct topline, very good movement BP. 2 Claonaiglen Shira, Parsons & McKinnon, not as mature as winner, lovely head, with a nice expression, good overall conformation and true movement. 3 Lowe’s Readwald Jet Black.
JB (8,2) 1 Traynor’s Canishurn Zena. Feminine head, very good eye and expression, mature for age, well developed chest, correct topline, strong hindquarters, compact feet, moved with drive. 2 Phillips’ Ladygrove Spook. Pressed winner very hard for 1st place another promising youngster, elegant yet with good body, good rise over the loin, true movement, preferred the eye of one 3 Peach’s Pingleholl Ruby at Kilbourne.
PGB (16,5) 1 Cartmell’s Riding the Wind with Cusidh. Very nice size and shape, good head, strong bladed bone, good of brisket, correct loin, hips set well apart, moved well. 2 Trotman’s Fosses Rambling Rose of Penherald. Very similar in many ways to winner, long neck and deep chest, correct topline, preferred quarters of winner. 3 Trotman’s Cotswold Crocus of Penherald.
LB (8,1) 1 Buswell’s Ghylladare Kinglas of Glenmorlich. Although she is on the larger side, her overall balance couldn’t be denied, good substance and bladed bone, feminine head with dark eye, deep brisket with good shoulder placement, excellent strong quarters held the topline at all times. 2 Shannon’s Lealla Joka. Good overall conformation with a nice strong front construction, elegant yet with a good body, good bend of stifle and correct topline, preferred head of 1. 3 Wragg’s Neroche Halistra.
OB (3) 1 Finnett and Heathcote’s Ch Hyndsight Au Fait. Lovely houndy type, full of quality and elegance, great shapely outline, strong topline, beautiful quarters with hips well apart, good sweep of stifle, effortless movement, CC & BOB 2 Bailey’s Greyflax Waterloo Sunset. Another superb specimen of the breed, feminine head, very nice body with a deep brisket and well laid shoulder good hind angulation, and very true movement coming and going RCC, one to watch. 3 Phillips’ Kilbourne Grey Ghost of Ladygrove.
