Puppy Dog 6 [2abs] 1st Hodgkinson’s Glenlwyd Dionysus. Medium sized 11mo’ most balanced of the class here today. A shapely boy with a pleasing head, a dark eye & high set ears. He has a good shoulder & return of upper arm, enough depth of chest & good hind quarters with good length from hip to hock. Moved well. 2nd Blackford & Morrissey’s Lord Seafield of Hartvalley.At 11mo’ he is a bigger dog of nice type but at an awkward stage and is a little unbalanced at present. He has nice length of body, adequate depth of chest, a good lay of shoulder, nice fallaway to croup and moved well . 3rd Owen & Brodie’s Wolfscastle Finlay.
Junior Dog 7 [3abs] 1st Spencer’s Gentom Orlando at Talgavar A lovely hound he stood away here. A light grey dog with a good head and expression. At 17 mo’ he is mature for his age, well grown, with good, bladed bone. His strong neck runs into a well laid shoulder & a nice upper arm, good depth of chest. A pleasing underline & nice tuck-up complement his topline. He has lovely hind quarters with good length from hip to hock and good bend of stifle. On the move he has a proud head carriage and an easy ground covering stride which set him apart from the other dogs. Delighted to award him the CC, his first, and I’m sure others will follow. 2nd Peach’s Wild West Von Der Oelmuhle. Another very promising dog, slightly smaller than my winner but very dark and of lovely type. Nice head, one of the few with an aquiline nose, lovely dark eye of correct shape, shapely outline, good forechest, best of all present today, good body with good ribbing and lovely drooping hind quarters. Moved well and was well handled. When called back to challenge for RCC unfortunately did not have time to settle and give of his best. 3rd Meer’s Lealla Kinrossie of Lordswell.
Yearling Dog 4 [1abs] 1st Peach’s Gentom Oliver Twist Brother of previous class winner and is very similar. A well grown, shapely dog, good bone, nice ears, good length of body, depth of chest, nice drooping croup and well angulated hind quarters. Moved well but not covering so much ground today. 2nd Merrick’s Clannardwood Sovereign. Smaller dog, pleasing head with a dark eye, small ears. Not the front of 1st and less forechest. Would like more depth but he has time and should continue to mature. Good hind quarters and fair mover. 3rd Cooper’s Wolfscastle Wood Yew at Chapeltower.
Sp Beginners Dog 8 [2abs] Day’s Demerlay Dorian Grey at Celticmoon. A medium sized dog with a nice head, eye and ear, good neck and nice shoulder with good forechest. Good depth and ribbing and fair topline. Would like more length from hip to hock but moved well.2nd Edwards’ Kilbourne Vincent. The fittest dog here but unfortunately not showing himself today or he would have won. Very nice dog with a good head, eye and ear a good length of neck , well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm and a good forechest. Good depth, nice topline and hind quarters and when he would trot straight a very nice mover. 3rd Seymour-Jackson’s Ghiltan Adeste Fidelis.
Postgraduate Dog 9 [3abs] 1st Owen & Brodie’s Wolfscastle Wood Mellick. Shapely 2yr old dog with the best of shoulders. Very nice type with an attractive head, good eye shape and colour and v good ears. Good sized dog with correct bladed bone, nice depth of chest and length to body, good topline with a good long croup and well angulated hind quarters and a low hock. He moved well covering the ground in an easy manner. 2nd Sharp’s Ashtonbrook Heracles A typical hound with a nice head, correct eye shape and colour and nice high set ears. Pleasing outline with a good shoulder and return, deep chest, good topline and croup.Would like a little more hind angulation, moved fairly well. 3rd Edwards’ Kilbourn Vincent.
Limit Dog 8 [4abs] 1st Rhodes’ Gentom Neo. Good sized dog with a nice head and eye, good neck, shoulder and upper arm. He has good depth of body, pleasing topline and well angulated hind quarters. Moved well for his young handler. 2nd Helps’ Beardswood Marmion. Upstanding dog with a pleasing outline. Fair head though ears could be smaller, strong neck but would like a little more length, good shoulder, good depth of chest and carry back of ribs. Nice topline running into good croup and well angulated hind quarters with lovely width of thigh. Moved well but not helping handler today. 3rd Buckley’s Lealla Jokol.
Open Dog 7 [2abs] 1st Spencer’s Ch Gentom Lorcan of Talgavar. Lovely mature dog with a typical head and expression and neat ears. He carries a full coat which hides his good neck of correct length, good shoulders and upper arm and lovely depth of chest. Nice topline and croup and good hindquarters with good bend of stifle. He moved soundly. and is a worthy champion, pleased to award him the RCC. 2nd Peach’s Kilbourne Nimrod Tall dark well made dog of good proportions. Masculine head, strong neck good shoulder and upper arm, nice depth of chest . Good topline and hindquarters and and a sound mover.3rd Peach’s Greyflax Myth to Kilbourne.
Sp Coursing Dog 2 [1abs] 1st Bunce’s Kilbourne Haldir at Pantawick This dog has a pleasing outline nice head with neatly folded ears and a good expression. A fair shoulder with good depth of chest, good topline and hind quarters & fair profile movement.
Sp Veteran Dog or Bitch 6 [3abs] Two lovely bitches headed this class. 1st Helps’ Beardswood Katrine Shapely 7 yr old bitch, well proportioned with an elegant head and neck, good shoulder and length of leg, nice depth, good topline and drooping croup She moved well. 2nd Pappenfuss & Rosner’s Ger Ch Kilbourne Cameo. Lovely outline and beautiful head and expression –wistful and far away. Well made with good lay of shoulder, good depth, nice underline and topline, good length of body. going into good hind quarters and a good mover. A difficult decision. 3rd Cooper’s Chapeltower Balkis.
Puppy Bitch 7 [1abs] 1st Hodgkinson’s Glenlwyd Liana. Pleasing 11mo old puppy with a nice shape of head, eye & ear. Balanced bitch well proportioned with a good length of neck, nice shoulder, adequate depth of chest with good length of rib and nice hind quarters. Moved well BP.2nd Conway & Johnson’s Canerikie Cranbury Cooler. Another shapely puppy with a pretty head and well made all through. Nice topline with drooping croup and lovely hind quarters. Moved well but not as freely as 1st. 3rd Parsons & McKinnon’s Claonaiglen Shira.
Junior Bitch 10 [5abs] 1st Rhodes Gentom Ovation A v pretty well grown bitch with a v attractive head and eye & good pigmentation.. Litter sister to winners of JD & SpYD & of same lovely type. Nice shoulder & straight front, good length, topline & hind quarters. Moved freely, covered the ground well and was well handled. 2nd Phillips’ Ladygrove Spook Another nice bitch that moved v well. Darker, v shapely but less mature than winner not surprising as she is 3 mo younger. Has the essentials to make a nice bitch given time. Daughter of the BOB 3rd Gow’s Anmialchu Beinn An Cabar.
Yearling Bitch 10 [2abs] The first 3 were all nice bitches in this class.1st Cartmell’s Riding The Wind with Cusidh. V nice with a lovely outline. Shapely and powerful and well made. Attractive head and expression good depth of chest and length of body, lovely hind quarters with good width of thigh, bend of stifle and a low hock. Moved well. 2nd Hird’s Claonaiglen Albyn at Cloweswood Another nice bitch of lovely type, feminine, well made, good depth of body and a good mover. Close decision. 3rd Arthur’s Erceldoune Charisma.
Sp Beginners Bitch 12[4abs] 1st Adams’ Hydfron Ula For Zandahar. Elegant and shapely young bitch with a pretty head and expression and good ear. Good neck and shoulder but would like a little more forechest. Pleasing topline and well angulated hind quarters, she moved well. 2nd Trotman’s Fosses Rambling Rose of Penherald. V nice bitch, I liked her head and expression. Has good shoulders and length of body, nice drooping croup and good hind quarters another good mover. 3rd Seymour-Jackson’s Ghiltan Tiercel.
Postgraduate Bitch 12 [3abs] 1st Bailey’s Greyflax A kind Of Magic JW. Really lovely bitch, quite mature for age and well off for bone. V nice outline, strong neck with a good shoulder and return of upper arm. Good ribbing, well bodied and has good hind angulation. She moved v well with a lovely free stride and was well handled. 2nd Peach’s Pendrethan Tamzyn to Kilbourne. At 16 months a baby in this class but her quality could not be ignored. Obviously lacks the maturity of winner but this is a v shapely and well made youngster with a nice head and expression and lovely sound light movement. 3rd Hawkins’ Killoeter Halma At Kwaricott.
Limit Bitch14 [7abs] 1st Buswell’s Ghylladare Kinglas of Glenmorlich. At nearly 3 a mature and beautifully constructed bitch.with an attractive head and expression. She has a super lay of shoulder with good return of upper arm, lovely deep chest and good length with really good strong hind quarters a lovely drooping croup and excellent width of thigh and good bend of stifle. Not flashy on the move just a typical sound easy gait. Considered for the RCC. 2nd Bailey’s Greyflax Waterloo Sunset A v pretty bitch with a sweet head & expression and neat ears . She has a good shoulder, nice underline and topline and good hind quarters. She moved well. 3rd Shannon’s Lealla Joka.
Open Bitch 4 [0abs] Phillips’ Kilbourne Grey Ghost of Ladygrove. Mature 6 year old who really looked super today. V shapely outline with a nice head and long neck running into a well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm. Good depth of chest nice underline and topline with super drooping quarters and lovely bend of stifle. She has a good carry back of rib and good length of loin and a harsh coat. On the move she really excels with a light ground covering stride in harmony with her handler. Pleased to award her the bitch CC & BOB and was thrilled when she went RBIS. Many congratulations! 2nd Wragg’s Neroche Halistra Another lovely bitch, nearly 3 and already very mature. Nice head and expression, well made with a good body, nice outline, lovely coat and good hind quarters. Beautifully presented. Moved well but couldn’t catch my winner today. Well deserved RCC. 3rd McDonald & Martyn & Hindley’s Rosslyn Mystique.
Sp Coursing Bitch 9 [3abs] 1st Buswell’s Ghylladare Kinglas of Glenmorlich. 2nd Kermack’s Beardswood Lustre Nice typical bitch with a nice head and expression , good topline and hindquarters, and good length of leg. Elegant mover. 3rd Hawkin’s Killoeter Halma At Kwaricott.
